Outline and Scope

Robotic systems are known for their ability to perform repetitive tasks at high velocities. These robots are highly specialized and, therefore, lack flexibility. With the recent Industrial paradigm, a shift towards flexible and collaborative robotics is eminent, increasing the dynamism of the Manufacturing facilities.

The objective of this special session is to open a discussion forum that allows experts and researchers discussing proposals on how to overcome some problems faced nowadays in Flexible robotic systems and Mobile Manipulation and to talk about these challenges during the presentations.

Topics of Interest

  • Autonomous robots
  • Guidance and navigation
  • Positioning and Localization
  • Grasping/Manipulation and gripping
  • Mobile manipulators
  • HMI for industrial robotics systems
  • Vertical integration for robotic systems
  • Manufacturing
