State-of-the-art research has been conducted for developing these robots and they are coming out of the research labs, more and more frequently, with relative success.<\/p>\n<p>The CLAWAR Robotic Competition is a competition challenging the research and development community, worldwide, to present their research results in the form of a technical presentation and <a href=\"https:\/\/clawar.org\/clawar2017\/program\/robot-competition\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>a public demo<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Bearing in mind these ideas, the purpose of this Special Session is to complement <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/clawar.org\/clawar2017\/program\/robot-competition\/\"><strong>the robot competition<\/strong><\/a><\/span> by joining together researchers, engineers, and students participating in the CLAWAR Robotics Competition to present and discuss the new developments and innovative aspects involved in the design of the robots <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/clawar.org\/clawar2017\/program\/robot-competition\/\"><strong>participating in the competition<\/strong>.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Submission of Papers<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Authors are invited to submit their full draft papers to this Special Session, in PDF format and up to a maximum of 8 pages, using the URL (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.softconf.com\/g\/clawar2017\">https:\/\/www.softconf.com\/g\/clawar2017<\/a><\/span>).<\/p>\n<p>Authors should follow the guidelines of the template available at the paper submission page of the conference web-site by the indicated deadline in the conference web page.<\/p>\n<p>For further information on this Special Session, please contact one of the organizers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Session Organisers<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Andr\u00e9 Dias<\/strong> (corresponding organiser)<br \/>\nSchool of Engineering Polytechnic of Porto &amp; INESC TEC, Portugal<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lu\u00eds Lima<\/strong><br \/>\nSchool of Engineering Polytechnic of Porto &amp; INESC TEC, Portugal<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abdullah M.
