Along the German Wine Route on the East of the Pf\u00e4lzerwald (Palatinate Forest) many small towns and villages dedicate themselves to making wine. During the Summer nearly every village in this beautiful region full of vineyards will have an own festival where the vinters serve their newest wines along some traditional regional food, celebrating the wine harvests and bringing everybody together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/commons\/8\/88\/2022-10-12-Dernau_Weinberg-3253.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Foto from Superbass, CC BY-SA 4.0 &lt;<a href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by-sa\/4.0\">https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by-sa\/4.0<\/a>>, via Wikimedia Commons<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The biggest and most famous of these wine festivals is the \u201cWurstmarkt\u201d in Bad D\u00fcrkheim, happening at the end of the festival season in September. Dating back for more than 600 years the festival blends tradition and modern festivity.
