Welcome to Porto, Portugal
Robotics and AI are developing at an incredible speed becoming incorporated into the very fabric of human reality to the point that the physical and the digital completely overlap. By significantly altering the substance of human lived experience, of human reality, intelligent technologies bring about and mold new forms of interaction and a new relationship with work and instrumentality. Reshaping industries, redefining workflows with their unparalleled efficiency and precision, speeding up production processes, allowing to succeed and operate in harsh environments, improving healthcare, medical practice, and the drug industry these tools herald a new era of innovation.
And yet, Robotic and AI applications are still far from perfect. Overcoming their challenging functional limitations and guaranteeing their reliability, safety, and ethical performance is a priority.
The International Conference on Robot Ethics and Standards is dedicated to the safe and ethical development of Robotic and AI applications, progressing toward trustworthy intelligent technology.
ICRES 2025 is the 10th issue of the International Conference Series on Robot Ethics and Standards. The conference will be organized by CLAWAR Association in collaboration with ISEP – School of Engineering of the Porto Polytechnic and INESC TEC.
It will take place during 03 – 04 July 2025 at ISEP – School of Engineering of the Porto Polytechnic, Porto, Portugal.
The ICRES conference series provides a multidisciplinary forum for discussing the fundamental and pressing safety, ethical, legal, and societal issues in robotics, autonomous systems and related technologies. We invite full papers, posters and extended abstracts. Please see further details on the Contributions page.
