However, these applications are still far from perfect, and it is essential that we not only overcome challenging functional limitations but also ensure that the design, implementation and operations of systems are reliable, safe, and ethical. That is why the International Conference on Robot Ethics and Standards conference provides a multidisciplinary forum for discussing the fundamental and pressing safety, ethical, legal, and societal issues within the field of artificial intelligence and robotics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ICRES 2026 will be the eleventh edition of the conference and will be held at Cranfield University, UK, over two days 17\u201318 September, 2026 (immediately following the Climbing and Walking Robots (CLAWAR) conference to be held 14-16 September).
