Outline and Scope

In recent years significant advances have been made in robotics and several machines have been developed, with the purpose of being used in distinct environments and applications. State-of-the-art research has been conducted for developing these robots and they are coming out of the research labs, more and more frequently, with relative success.

The CLAWAR Robotic Competition is a competition challenging the research and development community, worldwide, to present their research results in the form of a technical presentation and a public demo.

Bearing in mind these ideas, the purpose of this Special Session is to complement the robot competition by joining together researchers, engineers, and students participating in the CLAWAR Robotics Competition to present and discuss the new developments and innovative aspects involved in the design of the robots participating in the competition.
