Separately from the technical program, participants are also cordially invited to attend some social events, such as the Conference Banquet and visit the Miraflores Visitor Center, which is a space where you can live a unique Panama Canal experience. There will also be various luncheons and coffee breaks, with Panamanian snacks, during the conference.

The visit to Panama Canal (Miraflores locks) will be on Wednesday 12th September. This visit will be divided in two groups of the participants. Delegates who wish to take part in the visit should pay 15.00 USD (in cash) towards cost of visit at the registration desk of the conference at the time of registration. Group 1, entrance at 9:00 am – Group 2, entrance at 10:00 am.

The organizing committee of the conference will also organize an accompanying people program. This program will include visits to places of interest of Panama City, e.g., Casco Antiguo and/or Panama Viejo. In order to plan these visits, delegates are requested to let the Local Conference Organizers know during the registration the number of persons accompanying them. Delegates also could send a e-mail, with attention to Local Organizing Committee, about the number of accompaniers interested to this program.
