CLAWAR 2020 is the 23rd edition of International Conference series on Climbing and Walking Robots and the Support Technologies for Mobile Machines. The conference is organized by CLAWAR Association in collaboration with the Ishlinsky Institute for Problems in Mechanics of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IPMech-RAS) on a virtual platform in Moscow, Russian Federation during 24 – 26 August 2020.

CLAWAR 2020 brings new developments and new research findings in robotics technologies within the framework of the impact of robots in human life. The topics covered include assistive robotics from augmentation to full support for those with mobility disorders, rehabilitation and function restoration, innovative designs of components and full systems and application-specific robotics.

The CLAWAR 2020 conference includes a total of 50 articles, and 3 plenary lectures, from research institutions worldwide. This number has been arrived at through rigorous review of initial submissions, where each paper initially submitted has received on average three reviews.
